As the owners of Deer Trail Lodge, when we say that "we care" about your comfort and the care and attention provided to the home to ensure that you are comfortable and relaxed during your stay, you know this is not a marketing ploy or words just meant to attract your attention. After traveling for three decades, renting dozens of homes off VRBO and AIRBNB, we rarely found a home that we would have rented twice. We always had to carry our own pillows, dog crate, and loads of cookware. Not a single home had a crockpot, waffle maker, or a dog crate! We found windows often had no blinds, the noise from neighbors kept us awake, the doors did not latch or creaked, and the home clearly lacked the attention of an owner who also used the home often.
So.... we decided to do apply this experience to making our own vacation home better than this, and have made the decision that we absolutely should share Deer Trail Lodge with our guests who are likely looking for the same vacation home experience that we were...comfortable beds, clean from floor to ceiling, personal touches from someone who cared, ample supplies, privacy, with both heat and air conditioning, easy to operate gas fireplaces, good air circulation, outdoor spaces, creekside sitting, an excellent supply of kitchen equipment, new and well maintained appliances, a storage area, room darkening blinds, a place to walk a dog in comfort, and plenty of nearby outdoor activities. We have found this for us at Deer Trail Lodge, and after spending hours cleaning, remodeling, and reworking every aspect of this home in the summer of 2021, we feel you will also find this home away from home to be your safe refuge from the troubles of the real world.
